Meet Joe, our incredible song leader this summer. This is his first summer at Camp Mountain Chai and comes all the way from London England. I got a chance to sit down and really get to learn more about him.
- Where are you from?
London, England.
- How long have you been playing guitar for?
I have been playing guitar since I was 6 years old. The first moment I knew I wanted to be a musician was when I heard Ed Sheeran sing Lego House. He is an artist that I really admire and is a big reason I picked up a guitar and really wanted to pursue music.

It has to be Johnny Be Good, by Chuck Berry is my favorite
- What musicians and artists do you look up to?
Always Ed Sheeran, His music means so much to me and also really made me want to become a songwriter as well as a musician his lyrics are incredible. My other favorite artists changes a lot throughout the year. There are so many amazing up and coming British artists that I really enjoy and respect and would love to be like.
- If you could go to any concert, which would it be?
The Beatles hands down and with my dad. My dad introduced them to me at a very young age and really brought music into our house and I have been such a fan ever since. I am currently attending the music college in Liverpool at the end of college, Paul McCartney actually hands out the diplomas so that is something I really look forward to since he is someone I really look up to.
- Outside of music what are some of your hobbies
I love football and supporting my favorite team QPR. Hanging out with my family and friends.
- This being your first summer at CMC, which is your favorite song to play?
Right now the cmc song, that has been my favorite, you can really just hear the passion and ruach of the staff and campers singing along. I also love playing Lean On Me and Home.
