Atid Trip 2024

Under the blazing Utah sun, our Atid campers at CMC have embarked on an unforgettable journey, building friendships and exploring the great outdoors.

Our adventure was led by Amanda, our UL, celebrating her 10th year at CMC, and Elite, our first-year AUL.

Amanda, 23 years old and the oldest sister in her family, began her CMC journey as a 2nd-year Amirim camper.

Now, she works as an Outdoor Adventure Instructor for the Parks and Rec Department in the Coachella Valley, where she guides people on hikes, camping trips, kayaking, rock climbing, and mountain biking.

Elite, also 23 y/o, is the oldest of three sisters and an Israeli-American who has recently joined CMC.

Before enlisting in the Israeli army, she trained in triathlon for 10 years and was actively involved in the scouts, young ambassadors, and various leadership organizations.

Our trip began with the stunning views at the Bryce Canyon hike and continued with the exhilarating Narrows hike at Zion Park, where breathtaking views and the challenge of the trail deepened our friendships.

Camping under the expansive desert sky provided a strong connection to nature and each other, while interactions with Jewish peers, including Israelis, enriched our cultural understanding and global community.

We embraced spontaneous outings to Walmart and 7/11, viewed beautiful sunrises and sunsets, and celebrated our camaraderie through activities like working on cooking together, crafting camp-inspired raps, and sharing interesting stories.

As our summer adventure continues, we look forward to more discoveries, friendships, and moments that shape our camper’s lives, building resilience and strengthening the bonds of our CMC community.
